THE PREDICTION

Second placed Man Utd’s 0-0 draw at Arsenal saw the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Man City extend to three points, after City’s victory over Sheffield Utd. With just one point accrued from their last two league games, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side need to bounce back here against a Southampton side struggling with injuries and poor form. A 0-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa this past Friday was the Saints’ third straight league defeat and has seen them slip into the bottom half of the table. A trip to Old Trafford represents a tough challenge for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, with a number of injuries currently plaguing the Southampton squad and Man Utd should be set to take advantage here. The hosts are expected to come out of the blocks fast, determined to prove that they are still firmly in the title race and anything less than three points for the Red Devils in this match would be considered a big surprise.
