THE PREDICTION

One of the most forgettable Manchester derbies in many years saw Man City play out a lifeless 0-0 draw against bitter rivals Man Utd at Old Trafford over the weekend. With Pep Guardiola’s side seemingly happy to accept the draw after taking no risks in an attempt to win the game late on, they will expect nothing less than victory here at home to lowly West Brom. The Baggies sit 19th in the Premier League and their 2-1 defeat away at Newcastle last time out was a fifth defeat in their last six league games. A trip to the Etihad Stadium is a truly daunting prospect for Slaven Bilic’s men and whilst they will work hard for each other on the pitch, the overwhelming attacking quality of the hosts should prove far too strong for West Brom to keep out, with City expected to triumph by at least two clear goals.
