THE PREDICTION
Man City face Crystal Palace knowing they have a fantastic opportunity here to gain further ground on Liverpool and/or Man Utd with the two sides facing each other earlier in the day at Anfield. Pep Guardiola’s side are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games and have also secured wins in both the Carabao Cup semi-finals and the FA Cup third round over the past few weeks. However, they have struggled historically against Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium, having picked up just one point in their last two home Premier League games against the Eagles. Palace have managed five goals over the course of those two games and with an attack containing the likes of Wilfried Zaha, it would not be a surprise to see the visitors get on the scoresheet vs City once again here as they look to use their searing pace offensively to punish any mistakes in possession from the hosts. Man City will enter this game with a severe intensity knowing how important it is that they close the gap on their title rivals and whilst both teams to score may prove a shrewd play, the hosts should still come out on top by at least two clear goals.
