Both these sides head into this enticing Premier League clash following gruelling Champions League semi-final second legs played in midweek, however Man City will have benefitted from an extra day of rest compared to Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side also boasts home advantage here and the league leaders know that a win would see them crowned Premier League champions. However, whilst Man City may have won their last five games in all competitions, their most recent defeat came at the hands of Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley last month. Indeed, the West London based side have been beaten just twice in their 24 matches played since head coach Thomas Tuchel took charge all the way back in January. This looks set to be a battle of attrition, with neither side willing to give an inch. Both will be well aware of the quality their opponent possesses and it would be no surprise if the two were to cancel each other out and hence be forced to settle for a point apiece.
