THE PREDICTION
This is a crucial match between Leicester and Tottenham in terms of European qualification for very different reasons. After being knocked out of the top four by Liverpool this past Wednesday, Leicester must better the Reds’ result against Crystal Palace in order to regain their place inside the Champions League places. Alternately, three points vs Tottenham could see them leapfrog Chelsea should Thomas Tuchel’s side lose away at Aston Villa. For Tottenham however, defeat at home to Aston Villa leaves them confined to seventh-placed and the UEFA Conference League unless they win at the King Power Stadium and West Ham lose vs Southampton. Failure to beat Leicester however, could see them knocked out of the European places all-together depending on the results of both Everton and Arsenal. A draw likely benefits neither team in terms of the final Premier League standards and therefore an end-to-end encounter may transpire as this match goes on and both Leicester and Tottenham look to commit bodies forward in a bid to accrue those all-important three points. When taking this into account, both teams to score looks like it may be on the cards.
