THE PREDICTION

Southampton can move level on points with Leicester should they pick up victory at the King Power Stadium this weekend and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have every reason to be confident, having won their last two Premier League games away at Leicester. A Covid-19 outbreak at Shrewsbury Town saw the Saints’ FA Cup third round tie against the League One side last weekend postponed and as such they have not played since their 1-0 victory against defending Premier League champions Liverpool. Defensively Southampton have been outstanding recently, keeping three successive clean sheets heading into this match and their backline will need to be on form once again here, with Leicester having scored 11 goals in their last five games in all competitions. The Foxes with home advantage will be considered favourites, however Southampton have proven themselves as capable of picking up positive results against any side in the division and following an extended period of rest, will be confident of picking up at least a point here. With that in mind, consider the visitors double chance here.
