THE PREDICTION
After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Man City at the quarter final stage a fortnight ago, Everton will need to finish their Premier League season strongly if they wish to secure European football next season. The Toffees currently sit in eighth-place heading into this latest round of fixtures, level on points with Merseyside neighbours Liverpool, but need to get back to winning ways at Goodison Park against Crystal Palace following defeat at home Burnley last time out in the league. Crystal Palace’s season very much appears to be petering out as the Eagles are currently marooned in mid-table with very little prospect of relegation and Everton should be set to take advantage of this. With home advantage in their favour, the hosts’ potent frontline of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are expected to overwhelm the visitors and lead Carlo Ancelotti’s men to an important victory here.
