THE PREDICTION

Everton come into this match on a huge high following their first ever win at the Emirates Stadium last time out, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side triumphed 0-1 at Arsenal. It was a huge victory for the Toffees in their quest to finish in the European places and with a game in hand on all of their rivals, they can’t afford a slip up at home to Aston Villa. Dean Smith’s men are coming off the back of a 2-2 draw with local rivals West Brom last weekend, in which they needed an equaliser in second half stoppage time to rescue a point. Whilst Villa are winless away from home since February 27thwhen they beat Leeds 0-1 at Elland Road, the visitors have found the net in each of their last four league games, so despite Everton entering this encounter as favourites, they will find it very difficult to keep a clean sheet. Both Aston Villa’s most recent four fixtures and the last three Premier League matches to be played at Goodison Park have all seen both teams find the net and it would be surprise if the same scenario wasn’t to occur in this one.
