Fulham’s vital 1-0 victory at home to Sheffield Utd saw them draw ever closer to 17th-placed Newcastle and Scott Parker’s side must be growing in belief that they can pull off a great escape, having now picked up eight points from the last 12 available to them. They make the short journey to Crystal Palace in a London derby, with Roy Hodgson’s men coming off the back of a last gasp 1-2 victory away to fierce rivals Brighton this past Monday night. The win was considered very much a smash and grab with Brighton dominating the contest and Fulham will be hoping for similar, except showing more cutting edge in front of goal. The absence of Zaha for the hosts will also prove a factor no doubt and considering Fulham’s current vein of form plus their two days of extra rest time, the visitors double chance appears the smart play here.
