THE PREDICTION

Whilst Chelsea will have half an eye on their Champions League semi-final second leg vs Real Madrid this coming Wednesday, their fans will expect bragging rights and three points vs Fulham in this West London derby. As well as local pride being at stake, Chelsea cannot afford to draw points in their quest to finish in the Premier League’s top four, with Thomas Tuchel’s side currently three points above fifth-placed West Ham. Fulham meanwhile, need the win for very different reasons as they currently sit inside the relegation places and seven points adrift of safety heading into this weekend’s fixtures. Whilst the Fulham players will no doubt put it the maximum amount of effort and commitment as you would expect, four losses and one point from their most recent five Premier League suggests that they simply lack the quality at this level to survive and when taking into account the strength and all-round ability of the Chelsea squad, the hosts are expected not only to win here but also to keep a clean sheet for would be the ninth time in ten home matches in all competitions played under Tuchel’s stewardship.

Tip: CHELSEA TO WIN TO NIL
