THE PREDICTION

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will be happy to return to Stamford Bridge for this Premier League clash with the Blues having picked up 14 points from their last 18 available to them at home. However, they may not have it all their own way here against an Aston Villa side full of confidence on the road after winning their last two away league matches vs Wolves and West Brom respectively. Dean Smith has assembled a side not only solid in defence, but also packing a punch going forward with influential midfielder Jack Grealish at the heart of most Villa attacks. This match however, may prove a step too far for them, considering that Chelsea have won 10 of their last 11 Premier League fixtures against Aston Villa and with home advantage in their favour here, the Blues should make it 11 wins from 12 with three points in this one.
