THE PREDICTION

Chelsea bounced back from defeat in the FA Cup final over Leicester with a crucial 2-1 victory against the Foxes which puts them in pole position when it comes to finishing in the Champions League spots. Three points vs Aston Villa on the final day will be enough to see Thomas Tuchel’s side finish in third-place, however the hosts will be looking to play spoilers as they did in midweek after beating Tottenham 1-2. However, Dean Smith’s side have struggled at home in recent weeks having not won in their last four league matches at Villa Park although the presence of supporters will surely give the home players a significant boost in this match. For Chelsea though, the importance of this fixture is significant and they are yet to lose away from home in the Premier League under the stewardship of Tuchel. The Blues head coach will be able to tinker with his starting XI for this match such is the strength in depth of the Chelsea squad and this may prove the difference against an Aston Villa team perhaps a little fatigued after such a big effort put in against Tottenham. Therefore, an away win has to be favoured here.

Tip: CHELSEA TO WIN
