THE PREDICTION
This is a clash between two of the more experienced managers in the division and two with a few promotions behind them. They are experiencing very different seasons, though. The pressure on Chris Hughton’s job eased slightly with a 1-1 draw in the derby with Derby County but Nottingham Forest remain winless and sit bottom-of-the-table. Mick McCarthy, on the other hand, has his Cardiff City aiming for promotion this season with a fairly direct style of play that is ideally suited to Kieffer Moore. Ryan Giles’ impressive delivery compliments the big Welshman’s target man presence and City are always a threat even when not playing well because of that. It is unlikely to be a high-scoring game, though, and under 2.5 goals would look a good bet for this one.
