THE PREDICTION
Middlesbrough ended a run of four games without a win in midweek, taking advance of Nottingham Forest’s woes at the bottom of the table by beating them 0-2 at the City Ground. They now return to Teeside where they will meet Blackpool, who in contrast are off the back of a comprehensive 0-3 loss at the hands of Huddersfield this past Tuesday. The defeat was Blackpool’s third in their last four games in all competitions, which doesn’t bode well for them here. Three points in midweek should help provide Middlesbrough with some much-needed confidence and when taking into account the quality of their squad compared to their newly promoted opponents, Neil Warnock’s side should be able to continue their resurgence with another three points against the Seasiders, although backing them via the draw no bet market is a safer option with the hosts having drawn more games in the Championship this season than they have won or lost.
