Failed takeovers and transfer embargos have been the story of Derby County’s summer. After escaping relegation of the final day of last season, boss Wayne Rooney has had his hands pretty much tied behind his back when it comes to preparing the Rams for a long season ahead. Whilst a couple of free agents have been signed up, a swathe of players have been released and numbers are low within the camp. Huddersfield have issues themselves heading into this one, with a Covid-19 outbreak putting head coach Carlos Corberan’s expected starting line-up in doubt. Despite that, the Terriers squad have at least enjoyed ample time to ready themselves for the new campaign and will be hugely disappointed if they fail to leave Pride Park with at least a point when considering the struggles their opponents have faced. With that in mind, Huddersfield have to be favoured double chance.
