Michael Appleton had a difficult job replacing Neil Critchley over the summer and then lost key man Josh Bowler, without replacement, on transfer deadline day. Blackpool have started the 2022/23 Championship season with three wins in their opening 12 matches and they come into this on the back of four matches without a win. They now face a Watford side that controversially replaced Rob Edwards with Slaven Bilic over the international break. Bilic began his reign with a 4-0 hammering of Stoke but suffered a surprise loss to Swansea in midweek. Despite that, the sheer talent should overwhelm Blackpool and a Hornets victory is expected.
