Both these two sides have endured fairly turbulent summers. Since losing in last season’s playoff final, Swansea were hit by the departure of head coach Steve Cooper and have since brought in MK Dons boss Russell Martin as his replacement. However, Martin has had little time with his players ahead of this match, which may not bode well for the Swans, although Blackburn are currently in the midst of a transfer saga with a number of Premier League clubs trying to sign top scorer Adam Armstrong. Swansea arguably boost a superior squad on paper, but it may take them time to gel as a unit under their new head coach and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they were held to a draw here.
