THE PREDICTION

Wycombe’s 2-1 defeat last time out to Cardiff saw them relegated all but officially as it would now take a mathematical miracle for them to overturn any goal difference that they would need to stay up in the last two rounds of the season. It’s been a brave effort from Gareth Ainsworth’s side but they simply do not possess the quality within their squad to compete at this level. That is emphasised non-more so than in this fixture, with Bournemouth boasting a squad full of Premier League experience and international quality to draw upon even from the bench. With their place in the playoffs secure, Jonathan Woodgate will likely rotate his side in order to give fringe players some vital minutes. However, no matter what team Woodgate choose to field in this match, the strength in depth and all-round quality of the entire Cherries squad should prove far too strong for Wycombe to handle in this match. An away win appears inevitable, therefore officially confirming the hosts’ relegation.
