THE PREDICTION

Wycombe sit bottom of the Championship and this final international break will have given Gareth Ainsworth the chance to work with his team for an extended period of time, getting them ready for one final push as they bid to try and pull off what would be the greatest of great escapes. That push simply has to start with three points against midtable Blackburn, with the gap between the Chairboys and Birmingham in 22nd-place currently 11 points. With nothing to lose, Wycombe will likely throw caution to the wind in this one and although that may lead to them finding the net for what would be the fifth league game in six at Adams Park, it may also see them exposed on the counter attack, especially when considering the quality that Blackburn have within their ranks going forward such as Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliot. Therefore, regardless of whether Wycombe can win this match or not, both teams should find the net at least once.
