THE PREDICTION

After over a week without a Championship fixture which is a long time this season, Reading travel to Stoke looking to build on their 3-1 triumph over fellow promotion rivals Bournemouth. The Royals have now gone six league games unbeaten and look to be hitting top form at just the right time. They won’t have it all their own way here with Stoke notoriously difficult to beat having lost the same number of games as Reading (seven)despite having nine less points on the board. As is standard practice when they face a strong side, the Potters are expected to set up rigidly with bodies behind the ball and look at making it difficult for the visitors to break them down. Reading may have to prove patient if they wish to pick the three points up here so consider under 2.5 goals scored over the 90 minutes.
