THE PREDICTION

Stoke need to ensure a strong home record should they wish to be considered serious challengers for promotion this season and after a slow start, Michael O’Neill’s side have won their last two matches at the Bet365 Stadium. Coming off the back of an impressive 0-3 win away at league leaders Reading, here they host Huddersfield who have won just one of their last five Championship games. The Terriers however, will be aware that Stoke are without their two first choice goalkeepers, which may lead to some uncertainty within the Potters backline throughout the game with O’Neill being forced to field one of two young keepers who would be making their league debut. Whilst Stoke certainly have the firepower to find the net more than once, Huddersfield will be confident of least one goal themselves against a rookie goalkeeper and both teams to score with over 2.5 goals in the game looks a distinct possibility.
