THE PREDICTION

Following their 2-0 defeat away vs Coventry City in midweek, managerless Sheffield Wednesday now sit six points adrift of Championship safety and in deep trouble. They must find a way to pick up three points vs Preston, but that is easier said than done against a side sat 11th in the table who are very strong on their travels. Alex Neil’s men have won seven Championship matches away from home already this season and will be confident of adding to that here. Things don’t appear healthy at Sheffield Wed on and off the pitch with a new manager still yet to be appointed and the team having played precious little football in recent weeks due to an outbreak of Covid-19 within the club. It doesn’t look like the Owls will have had the adequate preparation time to get their players ready for this match vs a fairly settled opposition following their defeat only this past Wednesday night and the Lilywhites draw no bet has to be favoured here.
