THE PREDICTION

Sheffield Wednesday put in a brave effort vs league leaders Norwich this past weekend, but ultimately fell to a 1-2 defeat. They return to Hillsborough three days later for a crunch home clash with local rivals Huddersfield. The Terriers ended a run of four Championship matches without victory after winning away at QPR. The three gives them some daylight between themselves and the pack of teams fighting relegation. Currently sat in 23rd-place and seven points adrift of safety, the Owls have no choice but to sacrifice defensive stability for offensive power with a draw not good enough here to aide their survival hopes. However, this could lead to Huddersfield taking advantage of the extra space afforded to them within the Sheffield Wednesday half. Whilst this match has the potential to go either way, both teams to score may well prove the smart play.
