THE PREDICTION

Hillsborough plays host to what really is a relegation six pointer between 22^nd-placed Sheffield Wednesday and 23^rd-placed Birmingham, with both sides locked together on 28 points each. The visitors have lost their last three league games and are now on a run of six matches without a win. Sheffield Wednesday’s form has been better, although they themselves tasted defeat last time out vs Stoke. No doubt both sides will be nervous heading into this one and that might reflect on the pitch, with chances and goals in short supply when considering that the two teams will each be well aware of the consequences a defeat would bring. However, the Owls have proven themselves as being able to get over the line recently when the pressure is on, winning three of their last five including another relegation dogfight vs bottom of the table Wycombe. With home advantage in their favour, Sheffield Wednesday may just do enough here to edge past Birmingham and secure a massive three points.
