THE PREDICTION
A third successive home win for Birmingham edged them further away from the dreaded drop zone last weekend, however defeat here away at 22nd-placed Rotherham would drag them right back into trouble. The Millers are coming off the back of a really disappointing 0-1 defeat vs Coventry this past Thursday and with just two days rest leading into this one, question marks have to be asked over their squad’s physical and mental ability to cope with another gruelling Championship fixture such as this one. Birmingham know that avoiding defeat is their biggest priority here and hence they are likely to set up defensively, soaking up pressure with a view to hitting the hosts on the break and taking advantage of any potential fatigue from the home side as the match goes on. When considering the form of the Blues under new boss Lee Bowyer, backing them double chance in this one may well prove the shrewd move.
