THE PREDICTION

Reading’s winless run in the Championship extended to five matches at the weekend after they were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by champions Norwich at Carrow Road. After being in the playoffs for long periods of the season, but dropping out and now finding themselves unable to finish in the top six, you get the sense that the Royals can’t wait for the end of the season. Huddersfield will be another side relieved to see the end of the season after a really poor campaign for them that promised so much in pre-season. The Terriers’ have accrued just a single point from their last three matches and their most recent away game saw them thrashed 5-2 by Blackburn at Ewood Park. Reading have been strong at home over the course of the season and when considering that they boast a far superior squad to the visitors, the Royals should secure three points to end their season.
