THE PREDICTION
Derby’s excellent 2-0 win over Luton on Good Friday ended a run of seven Championship games without a win for Wayne Rooney’s side. Victory came at a cost however, with the loss of goalscorer Lee Gregory and Martyn Waghorn to hamstring injuries. Reading had to settle for a 1-1 draw in an end-to-end battle with playoff rivals Barnsley at Oakwell. The match will be remembered for a miss of the season contender from Reading striker Lucas Joao which would have given his side a priceless win. With home advantage in their favour here, a similar performance from Reading with more cutting edge in front of goal should see them take advantage of a Derby side weakened from their injuries suffered vs Luton and pick up a crucial three points.
