THE PREDICTION
Preston continued to prove themselves one of the hardest teams to read in the entire division, drawing 2-2 with Wycombe at the weekend. In a way, they sum up the unpredictability of the Championship quite nicely. Here they host Middlesbrough, with visiting manager Neil Warnock looking for a response after their 1-0 loss against Stoke. As seems par the course with Middlesbrough away from home, a tight game is expected and with Preston games so difficult to predict, the only outcome over the 90 minutes that appears fairly watertight is under 2.5 goals to be scored, considering seven of Middlesbrough eight away league matches this season have ended with under 2.5 goals scored.
