THE PREDICTION
The richest match in world football will involve Brentford for the second year in succession as they take on Swansea for a place in the Premier League. Last season saw them beaten by Fulham via a single goal in extra time and after beating Bournemouth in their play-off semi-final, the Bees will be desperate to erase those demons and secure their spot in the top flight. Swansea meanwhile, have already gone one better than last year after getting through their semi-final tie vs Barnsley and Steve Cooper’s side are now one win away from a return to the Premier League since being relegated back in 2018. The two league matches between Brentford and Swansea both ended in 1-1 draws and with the stakes so high in this match, another close encounter is expected.
Three of the four Championship semi-final play-off legs ended with under 2.5 goals scored over 90 minutes and the same outcome has to be favoured here.
