THE PREDICTION
The John Smith’s Stadium plays host to a Yorkshire derby between two sides who certainly had Easter Mondays to forget. Huddersfield were thumped 7-0 by league leaders Norwich, whilst Rotherham went down 0-3 at home to bottom-placed Wycombe, a truly disastrous result in their battle to avoid relegation. Both sides will be fired up and desperate to respond in this one, therefore a fierce contest is expected between two local rivals with a point to prove. Rotherham certainly need the win more as they sit in 22nd-place, seven points adrift of safety and eight points behind 19th-placed Huddersfield. Despite having home advantage here, the Terriers will not want to overcommit going forward and allow Rotherham any extra space to attack them on the counter, knowing that three points for the visitors would drag them into the relegation dogfight. Therefore, a turgid encounter is expected as Huddersfield look to play it safe and ensure that they do not lose this match first and foremost. A Millers side low on confidence, who have failed to score in their last two games aren’t likely to have the attacking capabilities that would see them break down the hosts and therefore the draw looks favourite.
