THE PREDICTION
Barnsley failed to capitalise on Reading’s draw with Cardiff City, after losing 2-0 away at struggling Coventry on Sunday. The Tykes remain inside the Championship playoff places, but now sit just four points above Reading with a tough local derby in prospect here away to Huddersfield. The home side come into this match off the back of an important victory vs Nottingham Forest that greatly eases their fears of being dragged into the relegation dogfight. Barnsley however, represent opposition of a higher standard due to their relentless energy and the all-round quality of the likes of Daryl Dike in attack. The importance of this match from a Barnsley perspective is huge and defeat to Coventry will likely give them the wake-up call perhaps needed to remind them that a playoff spot is not secure yet. If Valerien Ismael’s side play to the best of their ability, then they should come out on top in this one.
