THE PREDICTION

Wayne Rooney will not feature for rock bottom Derby in this match as he puts all of his effort into managing the Rams from the touchline instead. Something certainly needs to change for the Rams, with their 3-0 defeat vs Middlesbrough in midweek leaving them six points adrift inside the Championship bottom three having scored a pitiful five league goals all season. Wycombe sit three points above Derby and also in the relegation places, but the Chairboys have enjoyed an upturn in recent fortunes losing just one of their last six league matches. The most recent two of those games finished 0-0 and a similarly turgid encounter is expected between two sides who do struggle to find the net. With big ramifications for the losing side considering both are inside the bottom three, this match may be sucked into a stalemate by Wycombe, who would likely be the happier of the two teams to pick up a point and keep Derby below them in the table.
