Preston’s unpredictability continues to confuse both neutrals and Lilywhites fans alike, as Alex Neil’s men responded after a couple of desperately disappointing defeats, with a 1-0 victory last time out against Bristol City. Here they come against a far more consistent Derby, who have not tasted defeat in their last six league matches. The Rams weren’t in action last weekend after their scheduled fixture away at Rotherham was called off late on following a positive Covid-19 test within the Rotherham camp. Whether this effects Derby in a positive or negative way here is yet to be seen, but in what has been a gruelling Championship schedule it’s hard to imagine that the extra break hasn’t done them some good. With interim boss Wayne Rooney having found a tune from his talented but underperforming side in recent weeks, Derby draw no bet should be considered in this match, with the hosts no doubt confident of picking up three points vs the inconsistent Preston at Pride Park.
