THE PREDICTION

Phillip Cocu will not take to the dugout for this game after coming into contact with an individual who has since tested positive for Covid-19. However, the Derby manager continues to come under huge pressure from Rams supporters as his side fell to a late 0-1 defeat at home to QPR in midweek, their sixth successive league game without victory. A poor result against Barnsley could see Cocu lose his job with rumours of a takeover at the club nearing completion. The visitors suffered their first league defeat under new head coach Valerien Ismael in midweek after being beaten 3-0 away at Cardiff. The Tykes will aim to frustrate Derby and look to play on the counter, as the Rams have proven in recent matches that they struggle against teams who sit back. This could lead to a stalemate in this one, both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
