THE PREDICTION

Preston return to Championship action a week after being knocked out of the FA Cup third round by Wycombe. Alex Neil’s side also tasted defeat in their most recent Championship encounter, losing 0-1 to Nottingham Forest two weeks ago. They travel to Bristol City, who will be hoping their FA Cup third round victory over League One side Portsmouth can act as a springboard for them to bounce back into some league form, after losing four of their last five Championship matches. Preston however, are a dangerous outfit away from home having already won six league games on the road this season. They will fancy their chances here, knowing that Bristol City’s confidence may be fragile and the Lilywhites draw no bet may prove the smart play here.
