THE PREDICTION

Sheffield Wednesday are still stuck within the Championship bottom three, but picked up a vital 1-0 victory at home to Preston at the weekend. The gap between them and safety is now four points, with the managerless Owls hoping to take advantage of Bournemouth’s terrible recent form in this match. The Cherries have lost their last three Championship matches to slip down to sixth place. Jason Tindall’s side are at serious risk of dropping out of the playoff places entirely within the coming weeks if they cannot turn this lean patch around. Bournemouth boast a vastly superior squad to that of Sheffield Wednesday and will have plenty of the ball here as the visitors sitting back with a view to hitting their opponents on the counter attack. If the likes of creative midfielder Jack Wilshere and attacking midfielder David Brooks are allowed to dictate the play for Bournemouth, then the hosts will create a number of chances and providing they aren’t wasteful in-front of goal, this should ultimately finish a home win.
