Blackburn ended a run of seven Championship matches without victory, after beating Millwall 0-2 at the Den. As a result of that poor previous run, Tony Mowbray’s side have slipped out of playoff contention and unless they can quickly put together a streak of victories, Blackburn’s season is in danger of petering out. Swansea meanwhile came through a gruelling clash with Middlesbrough at the weekend with a crucial 2-1 win after a contentious 97th minute penalty. Whilst the high-flying Swans will be high on momentum following such an important victory, that contest is sure to have taken a lot out of Steve Cooper’s side.
