THE PREDICTION

Derby come into this match off the back of a second successive Championship defeat after losing last weekend to league leaders Norwich and currently find themselves firmly back in the relegation picture. They travel to Blackburn, who are playing the season out knowing that neither promotion or relegation is in their future this campaign. Tony Mowbray’s side have not won in their last seven Championship matches, although star striker Adam Armstrong was back in the goals last time out after netting a brace in their 2-2 draw away at Cardiff. Derby realistically need three points here to keep themselves clear of the dreaded bottom three and will need to come out and attack Blackburn. However, whilst Blackburn have not kept a clean sheet in their last four league games, in Armstrong they have an extremely potent goal threat who could see some joy on the counter attack in this one. With that in mind, both teams to score should be seriously considered at Ewood Park.
