THE PREDICTION
After their 0-3 defeat at the hands of Bristol City last Saturday, Birmingham dispensed with manager Aitor Karanka’s services and have quickly lined up former Blues player and Charlton manager Lee Bowyer as his replacement. Bowyer’s appointment is likely to give the hosts a timely boost as they host Reading, who currently sit within the playoff places. Whilst the Royals will enter this match as favourites, don’t underestimate the effect that a new manager brings and with Birmingham fighting for their lives in the relegation places, it wouldn’t be surprise if the Blues managed to grab at least a point here. With that in mind, Birmingham double chance looks a shrewd play.
