THE PREDICTION

Birmingham’s defence has a night to forget as they went down 3-2 to Cardiff in midweek. Manager Aitor Karanka will have been desperately unhappy at his side conceding three goals and he’ll no doubt look to rectify that here against Middlesbrough, who made it two successive Championship victories last time out after beating Luton Town 1-0. Neil Warnock is another manager who demands his side to be disciplined and tight at the back, so this contest isn’t likely to contain many goals. However, with Middlesbrough on a high following their two wins already accrued this week and Birmingham heads likely down after their two successive losses, Warnock’s side may just sneak a smash and grab victory at St Andrew’s.
