THE PREDICTION
After three successive victories, Barnsley fell to defeat at home to Swansea at the weekend. Valerien’s Ismael’s side will hope to bounce back on Boxing Day in this Yorkshire derby as they host Huddersfield, who picked up their third consecutive 2-0 home league victory after overcoming Watford. Away from home however, it has been a different story with the Terriers having not won in their last five Championship matches. Local derbies however, normally tend to be tight affairs and a similar story may well occur here. Barnsley as the home side will likely look at taking the game to Huddersfield, but the visitors are expected to dig in and should prove strong enough to come out of Oakwell with a point.
