Vitesse grabbed a much-needed win away at Go Ahead Eagle 1-2 last Sunday to secure their place inside the European play-offs with three games to spare. There is still plenty of tension at the club between fans and the hierarchy and that has often affected performances on the pitch with four defeats from their last six at home not good enough by their standards. Travelling Heerenveen drew 3-3 with Cambuur last Sunday to all-but mathematically secure league safety for another season and they have little to play for here.
