THE PREDICTION
This is a clash between two sides who both have pre-season expectations of Champions League qualification and private ambitions of possibly something more. Vitesse come into this, however, with only one win in their last four games. They recovered from a 2-1 defeat to PEC Zwolle by putting in a fairly disjointed but still potent performance against Heerenveen last week to draw 1-1. It prevented any potential slide that could occur. Feyenoord come into this on the back of an impressive 3-0 win away to VVV-Venlo. The reason as to why that was so impressive was because of the clean sheet. Despite VVV’s poor defensive record, they have still scored more goals than anyone else in the bottom half. That defensive solidity is something that Vitesse are also built upon. Therefore under 2.5 or under 3.5 to be safe would be a reasonable bet.
