PSV started their 2020-21 league campaign with a 3-1 victory away from home against Groningen last weekend in what was new coach Roger Schmidt’s first competitive game in charge. Schmidt will have been delighted with the overall performance of his team, and in particular young striker Cody Gakpo who continued his goalscoring form from the back end of last season with two goals in the season opener. Gakpo and his PSV teammates will certainly be confident of getting amongst the goals against Emmen as the visitors conceded five against VVV in round one.
