THE PREDICTION
A drab 0-0 stalemate away at Twente last weekend was Heerenveen’s eight league draw so far this season. Only two other Eredivisie have more draws to their name in this campaign. With third place Vitesse the visitors to Abe Lenstra Stadion, Heerenveen would likely be more than happy to see a ninth league match finish level here, considering that Vitesse have won five of their last seven games in all competitions. However, the visitors picked up just a single point in their two most recent Eredivisie fixtures, losing 4-1 away at VVV before being held to a 1-1 draw by RKC Waalwijk. With the Vitesse side a little unsure about themselves at present with doubts perhaps creeping into the heads, Heerenveen have a great opportunity here and with home advantage in their favour are well worth considering double chance.
