The Strongest come into this on the back of a hammering away to Santos in their last Libertadores match; that means they have played three, lost three, not scored and conceded ten goals in a very slow start. They come up against a Barcelona side that defeated them 4-0 in their second match and the Ecuadorians have taken nine points from a possible nine after wins against Boca and Santos. That run of form is also consistent with their league form in which they have lost just one of their opening ten matches.
