The home team come into this on the back of an unbeaten Libertadores group stage campaign and that has been led by the tournament’s joint top goalscorer Gabriel Barbosa - Gabigol, formerly of Inter Milan. The Brazilian has scored six goals so far. Flamengo come up against a Velez Sarsfield side that are also already qualified for the knockout stages but could leapfrog their opponents into first place.
