THE PREDICTION
These two are, comprehensively, the best two sides on the African continent. The last time there was a CAF Champions League final that featured neither of them was all the way back in 2016 when the Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Zamalek. This is the seventh final since then and the third between these two with all the other four featuring one of the two. Al Ahly have reached the final this time around with a comfortable and emphatic 4-0 aggregate hammering of ES Tunis in the semi-finals. They have since enjoyed three more ‘to nil’ victories in the Egyptian Premier League. They have now kept 12 successive clean sheets in all competitions. They now face a Wydad Casablanca side that comfortably defeated Moghreb Tetouan by two goals to nil last weekend in the Moroccan Botola. The visitors are unbeaten in seven matches but have been more unconvincing than their opposition. Given that, as well as the fact this first-leg is being played in Cairo, a double chance bet in favour of Al Ahly looks the way to go for this one.
