There is a heavy favourite for this tie. The reigning Libertadores champions Palmeiras struggled at the start of the domestic season but they have since regained their status as the best and most in-form side in Brazil. They earned a 1-1 draw with a late equaliser in the first-leg against Sao Paulo but they will fully expect to win this second-leg. Their defensive record is what makes them so much better than their opposition with Sao Paulo languishing towards the bottom of the Brazilian Serie A. This should be a Palmeiras win.
