That run of form means they now sit inside the Sudamericana group stage places with the Libertadores qualification spots in the top six their aim. They come up against a Fortaleza side that had been strong due to their impressive defensive performances but a poor run of form means they are on the verge of slipping outside the top four. The visitors are now winless in their last seven matches in Serie A. Given the respective runs of form, Internacional will come into this, especially with home advantage, as the slight favourites.
